Foothill Ranch (FHR) was a census-designated place in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 10,899 at the 2000 census.
Foothill Ranch was annexed into Lake Forest, California in 2000.

About 1.4% of families and 1.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.0% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over. Foothill Ranch was completed in 1996 and was annexed to Lake Forest in 2000.
